Beautiful beaches to visit in North Devon

Explore the stunning coastline of North Devon

Each of these beaches offers something unique, from bustling family-friendly spots to more secluded, quiet coves, all within an easy drive from Lewtrenchard Manor.

Widemouth Bay (approx 45-minute drive)

A beautiful, sandy beach on Cornwall's Atlantic coast that's popular with surfers and families. The beach has great facilities, and the waves here are ideal for surfing and bodyboarding.

Bude Beach (approx 45-minute drive)

Crooklets is a wide sandy Blue Flag beach just half a mile from the centre of the seaside town of Bude with rock pools for exploring at low tide. It's great for families and watersports enthusiasts and has RNLI lifeguards during the summer season.

Summerleaze Beach (Approx. 45 mins)

A lovely sandy beach next to Crooklets Beach with plenty of space for sunbathing, swimming, and rock-pooling. It has good amenities, including a cafe and RNLI lifeguards during the summer, plus it's home to Bude Sea Pool, a part natural, part man-made swimming pooll.

Sandymouth Bay (Approx. 40 mins)

A rugged and beautiful beach of pebbles and sand surrounded by cliffs, popular for walking, surfing and exploring the rock pools. It’s quieter than some of the other beaches in the area, offering a more tranquil experience.
