The Story of Sabine Baring-Gould’s Folk Music

Join us on Saturday 24 October, 13:00 – 16:00, for a unique afternoon of live music, storytelling and local heritage in the Ballroom. Inspired by Sabine Baring-Gould’s renowned folk song collections in the autumn of 1888, this intimate event brings his collection of stories and songs to life through live music by Mike Bosworth of The Parson and the Songmen.

With the bar open and a light bite menu available, guests are invited to enjoy a relaxed celebration of the house’s rich history and its connection to one of Devon’s most celebrated figures.

As spaces are limited, please call 01566 783222 to guarantee a seat. Tickets will be £10 on the door, with all proceeds going to the performers.
